旅游式雪邦黄金海岸饥饿营

奇幻318活动策划小组会在22-23/8/2009期间选择短暂挨饿，来交换远方贫苦小孩的一顿温饱。

奇幻318活动策划小组负责人兼饥饿营营长表示：“选择参与饥饿30，只是想为生活在贫困中的人尽点力。我们意识到，在生活中我们可以选择进食或挨饿，但是贫困的人并没有选择。挨饿几乎是他们每天必须面对的事情，有些人甚至不知道下一顿饭是在什么时候。营员只需禁食30小时，小小的牺牲就能使贫困的人及儿童换来一餐温饱。”

参加饥饿30，营员必须禁食于固体食物30个小时，为活在饥饿中的贫穷社群筹款，协助弱势群体摆脱贫穷的恶性循环。营会进行时，主办单位将进行一系列的教育活动，意旨让营员体验及更了解社会议题。今年饥饿30的主题注重于全球粮食危机。

这次办营的慨念依然保留了去年的旅游式沙滩饥饿营的方式, 让营员可以一边参加活动一边旅游增广见闻, 一举两得. 营长说, 我们先会在东禅寺进行饥饿挑战游戏, 然后参观丹绒士拔灵芝园, 之后会在雪邦黄金海岸扎营过夜, 直接让营员体验野外生活. 他还说, 明天一早收拾营地和拜访慈爱福利中心后, 大伙儿会直接前往布特拉体育馆参加倒数活动.

2009年度饥饿30

粮食危机是否真正存在？是的，它存在。
2004年，南亚海啸在11个国家夺走共计225千条生命。当时灾区惨况被大幅度报导，全球为之震惊。 今天，我们所面对的是一场破坏程度绝不亚于南亚海啸的灾难——粮食危机。这一个危机并没有得到广泛重视，但据世界银行估计，这一次的粮食危机正无声无息地把世界1亿人口推向于绝望边缘。 问题慢慢浮现。墨西哥、埃及、印尼、也门、菲律宾、柬埔寨、摩洛哥、塞内加尔、乌兹别克、几内亚、毛里坦尼亚、喀麦隆、孟加拉、布基纳法索、象牙海岸、秘鲁、玻利维亚以及海地已经纷纷出现因粮食短缺而爆发的动乱。 粮食危机是一项无可否认的事实。以下是此项危机的一些具体事实：
问题何在？
粮食危机在短期内恶化到非常严重的地步。
•
相较去年，小麦和白米的价格大涨超过1倍。玉米也涨了66%。
•
世界宣明会与世界粮食计划署携手合作的粮食供应计划，在2008年多花了7亿美金，才能够维持与2007年数量相应的粮食供应。
什么人会遭殃？
穷人。
•
70%的发展中国家是纯粹的粮食进口国，而2008年的粮食价格平均上涨了40%。
•
在发展中国家，粮食花费占了穷人收入的60%到80%。在发达国家却只占人们收入的10%到20%。因此，当粮食价格上涨，穷人首当其冲。
•
世上超过15亿人口每天只能靠着1到2美金过活。为了能够负担价格上涨的白米，他们别无选择地减少食用其他营养食物（例如蔬菜）。
•
世上超过10亿人口每天只能靠着1美金过活。粮食价格上涨，他们的对策相当无奈 - 减少进食。
•
每天只能靠着50美分过活的人们根本没有选择，他们一般在一周内只进数餐。世上约有40个国家正陷入严重饥荒。粮食危机将原本已经生活困窘的人们推向绝望边缘。其中儿童、孕妇、授乳中的母亲以及她们的孩子们是最为脆弱无助的一群。
为什么会发生粮食危机？
粮食危机并没有区域性。换言之，它是一个全球性危机。此项危机的形成原因广泛而复杂，其中包括：
•
粮食价格上涨：投机客把粮食交易当成可谋利的投资活动，导致小麦、黄豆、玉米及白米的价格居高不下。
•
粮食储备下降：过去数年的谷物欠收，导致各地政府及私人粮食储备大幅度下滑。
•
石油价格上涨：农产品成本，与石油相关的肥料价格以及粮食运输成本应声而起。
•
生化燃料的需求：种植可制作生化燃料的农产品比生产粮食更为有利可图。
世界宣明会的对策？
粮食危机并不能在朝夕之间被解决。世界宣明会因此而制定了短期及长期性策略，以应付不同时期的需求。
•
为营养不良的孩子及社群提供紧急粮食援助。
•
协助社群发展出长期粮食供应系统，自给自足。

粮食危机面对面
阿富汗：

卖女儿买粮食

阿富汗出现40年来最严寒的冬天，10万头家蓄因而死亡。加上粮食价格的普遍上涨，农人面对挨饿的家人和牲口，无奈地选择售卖女儿来抵债及购买粮食。有的小女孩只有7岁，就被迫离家，独自面对不可知的未来。 法蒂玛，11岁，刚刚被卖出去，成为了陌生人的新娘。她是家里第三个被卖出去的女儿。在这饱受战争和旱灾蹂躏的国度，卖女儿俨然成为了流离失所的人们抵债和购买粮食的方式。 "这并非我们所愿。我们原想等她长到起码20岁。但事不从人愿，环境逼人啊。" 法蒂玛的母亲说。法蒂玛的 "丈夫" 付了6千美金。"我们没有钱。粮食的价格高得吓人，为了购买粮食我们还得到处借贷。" 法蒂玛的母亲补充。

乔治亚：

孤儿院弃儿

在乔治亚，父母被迫将孩子遗弃在孤儿院，或其他可保证孩子温饱的机构。"这是我人生中最痛苦的决定，但却是我唯一的选择，否则，我的孩子只有死路一条。"玛丽娜拥有6名孩子，她的孩子们虽然都已经从孤儿院回家，但却每天生活在被再度遗弃的恐惧当中。

智利：

靠面包度日自2008年1月份起，智利的面包价格涨了2倍。单是买面包就花了单亲妈妈贝尔塔的四分之一收入。为了节省燃料，贝尔塔选择间隔一天煮食，同时不再购买鸡肉，只买骨头。"孩子会饿，虽然一切都涨价了，我还是得想法子喂饱他们。" 贝尔塔说。

塞内加尔：

等待丰收

为了抗议粮食价格居高不下，塞内加尔发生了连绵暴动和示威活动。然而，当回到现实，一般民众还是得想办法过日子。去年的农作物歉收，下一次的收成季节却还很遥远。玛丽迪奥夫 -- 6名孩子的母亲说，“我们还要等很久才会等到下一次的收成，日子真的越来越艰难了。”

两名美国世界宣明会同工到肯尼亚，与当地村民同住生活，并跟随他们的生活起居，甚至饮食。

关丹林明 - 看日出云海以及彩虹瀑布

TRIP : SUNGAI LEMBING LEARNING TRIP

刚从关丹林明回来. 一个有山有水的地方, 一个逃离城市压力的小镇.

林明镇有三多 - 摩托车多,英文路牌多,还有吊桥多.

相信美女也很多, 山城空气好太阳少, 小妞们都是白白的. 哈哈!!!

林明镇总共有六座吊桥,六间民宿与度假村,还有一个小到不得了的油站.

当地美食当数林明山水豆腐面最为著名.还有阿贤人情味到访过.

来到林明可别忘了带点当地土产-椰子饼回去.吃起来有点脆还有椰子香味.

林明主要景点有林明山(PANAROMA HILL), 彩虹瀑布(RAINBOW WATERFALL) ,查惹洞(GUA CHARAS), 班登瀑布(PANDAN WATERFALL), 锡矿博物馆(SG. LEMBING MUZIUM), 地下矿道(TUNNEL), 还有水晶屋(CRSYTAL HOUSE).

这一趟旅程去了很多地方, 如 TELUK CEMPEDAK 沙滩, 黑石沙滩, 蜡染制作厂(BATIK), 渔村, CHERATING 海龟博物馆, 还有其他没被列出的地方. 一路上还尝到了当地小吃如 SATA, OTAK-OTAK, KEROPOK LEKOR SEGERA, 枕头包和鲨鱼面.

路过太子金龙庙, 进去看看那2700尺的金龙.据说从龙尾走到龙头,再模龙珠,可以转运.不妨来试试看.兜了一圈, 发现这庙太商业化.

庙内还有个许愿钟. 许了愿将银角抛向钟, 愿望会成真. 我们的司机大佬连续击中十次. 真神!!!

重点行程 - 彩虹瀑布. 花了接近两小时才抵达. 全程包括乘坐改装罗里飞驰在崎岖山路, 然后又的森林徒步和攀爬大岩石才能到达彩虹瀑布. 非常的辛苦但又特别的刺激.

好凉好冷的山水, 直让人发抖, 牙齿打架. 哈哈!!!

林明山 - 一个看日出云海的地方. 总共大约有 291 meter. 还蛮难爬. 日出还真美. 云海也okok能看咯....... 还好啦.......... 别太嫌..........

1st PutraJaya International HOT AIR BALLOON FIESTA 2009

Malaysian Sport Aviation Federation (MSAF) and AKA Balloon Sdn Bhd will be co-organising the 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 on the 19th until 22nd of March. MSAF was formed in May 2003 and AKA Balloon’s (registered MSAF member) managing director, Khairudin Abdul Rani, is the Vice President for Lighter Than Air.

The Fiesta

Date: 19 - 22 March 2009

~ Flying the Hot Air Balloon is dependent on the weather; whereby the wind has to be calm and the sky is clear
~ The weather forecast in March for Putrajaya is suitable for flying hot air balloons

Venue: Putrajaya

~ The Fiesta will be held at Precinct 2, Putrajaya adjacent to the ‘Monumen Alaf Baru’

Number of Hot Air Balloons: 25
~ 20 standard shaped hot air balloons
~ 5 special shaped hot air balloons

Participating countries
Pilots from 19 countries have been invited to participate in the Fiesta namely;

Australia, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Switzerland, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom and United States of America.

In general experienced and skilled hot air balloon pilots around the world especially form Europe and Asia, are invited to participate in such Fiestas.

JANDA BAIK PROJECT - CHARITY

Child Development Psychology club at HELP is having fundraising for the "Janda Baik Project", which is running once a semester. We are selling T-shirt with one design.

What is Janda Baik Project?

The name ‘Janda Baik’ is a small town in Pahang. There is an orphanage and a village-Kampung Songkok where aborigines live.

The main objective of this Janda Baik Project is to raise awareness of the orphans and aborigines about the importance of education and to give a chance for facilitators to gain rarity values through the program.

100% of the fund we got from T-shirt selling will be donated to the aborigines and orphans we are going to visit in this coming March. The design of the T-shirt is attached, and the price for one is only RM25 and for two is RM 44.

The children are very much need your contribution. Donate to the needy, we shall be extremely grateful if you could contribute generously towards this worthy cause.

雪邦黄金海岸, DIY 迷你饥饿营, 义唱又义卖

奇幻318活动策划小组所主办的DIY迷你饥饿营已成功的在23/8/ - 24/8/2008 于雪邦黄金海岸顺利举行。

此次营会的概念是一个旅游式的沙滩营会。营会工委们早在二三月前， 已前往邻近小镇宣扬饥饿三十营以及向当地居民与商家们筹募营会经费。工委们非常谢谢居民与商家们以义唱和义卖的方式来支持我们，尤其是在仁加隆与双溪比力。

DIY 迷你饥饿营营长表示，营会在第一天就前往东禅寺进行一个简单的祈福活动，也让营员们有机会体验抄经的宁静。我们也在这儿进行贫穷课题讨论会。

他说，大约四时，大伙儿就浩浩荡荡前往饥饿营营地－雪邦黄金海岸。在那儿，营员们开始了“救援游戏”，“才艺表演”，“你听我说分享会”等有趣活动。

与此同时， 营长说，虽然营地附近是火锅餐厅，但所有的营员们尽情投入于所准备的活动，也已忘了自己在饥饿。某营员在分享会中告诉他，时间过的真快，让她觉得此次的参与非常有意义。

他还说，在第二天一早，大伙儿在收拾好行李后，便出发前往双溪比力镇以义卖方式来筹募营费。我们得到了非常好的反应，很谢谢当地居民与商家们的支持。之后，我们就去参观了火龙果园，也顺便买了一些回去孝敬父母亲。

他指出，此次营会的成功，我们非常谢谢所有的赞助商，尤其是雪邦黄金海岸，SHINE，Esping Apparel Sdn.Bhd.，东禅寺与珍好好火锅的鼎力支持。除此之外，他也非常感谢丹绒士拔海友兴所提供的海南包做为解饥餐。

希望大家秉持于同一理念，继续给孩子“无穷”的快乐。

Once again, our team had succeeded in organizing the fantastic first DIY 30-hour Famine Camp in Sepang Goldcoast.

The combination of travel and famine was the main idea of this whole exciting event.

Throughout the journey of this event, we have visited the Dong Zhen Temple,Sepang Goldcoast and the Dragon Fruit Farm.

INTRODUCTION
The 30-Hour Famine has always been about enlarging worldviews and empowering people to rise up and fight poverty and injustice. This year we are taking it a step further and giving West Malaysians the power to run their own unique Famine camps. It is our hope that the Famine will be taken to every corner of the country!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
30-Hour Famine = 26 Hours + 4 Hours
“Do It Yourself (DIY)” Famine Camps are held in schools, colleges, offices, and any other place where there are a group of people who want to make a unique stand against poverty.
• For 26 hours, they fast and learn about global poverty issues, guided by the Famine Kit and training provided to camp leaders.
• The last 4 hours are spent at a star-studded Famine Countdown event, where they break fast together with Famine Campers from across the country.

WHY THE CHANGE IN FORMAT?
• We seek to empower people in the fight against poverty.
• We want to give them the avenue to run the Famine in their own unique way.
• We want the Famine to reach every corner of the country.We believe decentralisation is the way forward, as proven by our counterparts in countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Taiwan and Korea.
